Today TiVo announced a new service that lets viewers create an Internet "channel" on their television which will consist of their home movies, and lets friends and family watch that channel on their own sets, if they have TiVo boxes.
TiVo has also teamed up with One True Media, a web service that helps amateurs edit their footage. Early next year, TiVo customers will be able to use the service to create online channels other TiVo members can watch.
Third, TiVo will team up with ICM to hire celebrity "guru guides" to suggest movies, TV shows and web videos that users can download from the Internet via TiVo's Internet-to-TV service, TiVoCast.
More to come...
